The first month in Kennesaw has gone too fast. To give you a better impression on how my day looks like, I will just write down my schedule.
- 6:30 am – 7:30 am: waking up, getting dressed, eating breakfast, packing my back, making my bed
- 7:30 am – 8:30 am: Riding the bike to Kennesaw Sate Campus. In the US there are not always sidewalks so I have to pay close attention to the morning traffic. After the ride with some steep parts, I take a shower at the Student Recreation Center. I very much enjoy riding the bike in the morning with a deep standing sun but I often drive to Campus with my Host-Mom because she works there as an art-professor. Furthermore I can use the reliable Mountain-bike from my Host-Dad, which is also very nice of them:)
- 8:30 am – 11:00 am: My first class ‚Intro to mass communication‘ starts at 9:30 so I usually got time to visit the Library before, to do some paperwork. In this class I sit next to two nice guy who are communication-majors and we always talk about the latest political news before the class starts. Most of my courses are located in the Social Science Building.
- 11:00 am – 12:15 am: My next class is ‚US Diplomatic History after 1820‘. The topic is very interesting but it is sometimes hard to keep up because the Professor does not write anything down.
- 12:30 pm – 2:00 pm: After my lunch-break I am working as a German tutor for 2 hours in the ‚Foreign Language Resource Collection‘ to get in touch with american students and to make a few dollars..
- 3:30 pm – 4:45 pm: The first afternoon class is ‚American Government‘. The teacher is very fun and motivated so I like this class the most. I also enjoy learning more about the political structures of the country, where I will life in for the next year.
- 5:00 pm – 6:15 pm: My last class is ‚Principles of finance‘. I can follow up well with exercises but the information’s are very theoretical.
- 6:30 pm – 10:30 pm: After my last class I take the bike back home, where always a great dinner with my host-family waits for me. After watching a movie with my host-brother Elliot, I went to bed around 10:30 pm.
